My name is John Leonetti and I have been a Christian since 1985. After my conversion, I encountered several people who were involved in cults. By cult I mean a group of people who are gathered around a teacher or institution’s teachings that claim to be in harmony with the Bible but always denies an essential doctrine(s) of the Christian faith. This led to my passion for Christian Apologetics, which is the ability to lovingly communicate what the Christian faith is to those who are not believers. The Apostle Peter instructs believers to always be prepared to give an answer (1 Peter 3:15), and Jude:3 instructs Christians to “earnestly contend for the faith.” Since approximately 1987 I have been engaged in apologetics whether answering the doorbell, teaching Sunday School (adult and children’s), or occasionally filling the pulpit. In 2017, I started a monthly men’s gathering called Theology on Tap. I graduated Biola University in 2023 with my Master of Arts in Christian Apologetics. I have been married to my wife Tara since 1995 and we have a daughter Hannah, and a son Joshua. I have been an academic librarian for over 20 years! I believe the Bible is the ultimate source for truth, justice, morals, meaning and beauty. If you would like to contact me, my email is defender315@msn.com I look forward to communicating with you
